Crazy Town Frontman Shifty Shellshock Dead at 49

Los Angeles, CA - June 26, 2024 - Music fans woke up to a sad surprise today with the news that Shifty Shellshock, lead singer of the rap-rock group Crazy Town, has passed away. Shellshock, whose real name was Seth Binzer, died at his Los Angeles home on Monday, June 24th, at the age of 49.

Binzer co-founded Crazy Town in 1992 alongside Bret "Epic" Mazur. The band achieved mainstream success in the early 2000s with their hit single "Butterfly," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2001. "Butterfly" was featured on their debut album, "The Gift of Game," which went platinum.
